At Sharpman Construction we love turning our clients’ outdoor dreams into reality. Recently, we worked with Jeff and Sherry, who wanted to double the size of their deck and make it as maintenance-free as possible.

Expanding the Outdoor Space

Their original deck was charming but too small for their needs. After obtaining the necessary permits from Franklin County, we got to work on creating a spacious new deck. To ensure it was sturdy enough to support the larger platform, we used 6 x 6 treated posts paired with a 2 x 10 drop girder.

 Choosing Quality Materials

For the flooring, we selected Trex Transcend decking, celebrated for its durability and low maintenance. With hidden fasteners, the surface looks sleek and is safe for family gatherings.

To enhance aesthetics, we opted for Fiberon’s composite posts and handrails, coated in PVC for weather resistance. The matte black round aluminum balusters add a modern touch that ties the design together beautifully.

Efficient Construction

Our dedicated team worked diligently, and within just two weeks, we transformed Jeff and Sherry’s outdoor space into a stunning and functional deck. The result is a beautiful area that requires minimal upkeep, allowing them to enjoy their yard without the hassle of constant maintenance.
